Meet the composers
2006 - Present
This project started in New York when Dr. Petricic combined her piano performance with other disciplines such as storytelling and visual arts.
Collaborating with various actors, dancers, writers, and visual artists she decided to create arts management course at Faculty for media and communication in Belgrade, Serbia where the students continued presenting the lives of different composers through multimedia performances.
For the next 15 years this became an audience development project that outgrew the course curriculum and established a large network of local dance companies, theaters, freelance performers, and visual artists in Belgrade. Serbia. Besides the artistic quality of the performance the students were introduced to the basics of arts management with special emphasis on team development and arts leadership. Since its creation the course has been used for various research and academic publications. After the pandemic the project “Meet the composers” has become an “online course” at several academic institutions across Europe and US.
